Another week in review

Well, I am apparantly horrible at keeping up with my blog lately but it really has only been partially my fault! Last friday there was a choir alumni renunion at Concordia before the annual choir concert so Brice and I went to that and got to see quite a few friends that I have not seen for a while. After that, my friend Mary had a game night at her apartment so we went over there to visit since we haven't seen her in a long time (she's student teaching right now and is almost FINALLY done with school.....Go Mary!!!). Anyway, we didn't get home until almost 3am!!!!! Needless to say, Brice and I slept in the next day. We decided to go to church on Saturday afternoon since we wanted to go to the zoo on Sunday. Since it was the first really nice day in a LONG TIME, there were about a million people at the zoo and I didn't get to pet any baby farm animals except for a little baby duck....he was so soft! I can't wait until the ducks down at the pond have babies - that will be fun! So on monday, I had to go to the dentist because I noticed a cavity - needless to say I wasn't very happy with what he had to tell me. He tried to say that I probably need a root canal which I absoloutely don't believe because I have absolutely no pain except for when I eat and I have heard many stories about dentists pushing procedures that aren't really necessary just so they can make more money. Anyway, I made an appointment at another dentist to go to on tuesday to see what he says. I'm really hoping that I can just have it filled because I'm not a good patient.....I'll let you know how that goes. Ok, so on Wednesday night, we had tickets to go see Celtic Women at the Orpheum and they were amazing! I'm really amazed that the fiddle player doesn't fall down and hurt herself because she runs all over the stage in big high heels! Brice of course, complained the whole time we were there but then finally admitted that he enjoyed the concert. Since then, we haven't really done much except doing a lot of grilling. Grilling is probably one of my all time favorite things to do in the summer - there is absolutely nothing better than grilled chicken, burgers and brats! I don't know what is in store for dinner tonight - it's raining right now and I'm wondering if it is going to keep up. In pregnancy news, I am in the last week of the first trimester and I can't believe how fast the time is going! We really need to get our extra room cleared out so we can get it painted and then get a crib, dresser, rocking chair and all of the other necessities. If anyone out there needs a futon we have one we need to get rid of! Well, I guess that is all for now. I promise that I will be better at posting to the blog more often!
